Join us for a fascinating journey through the cosmos as we explore the connections between the solar system, mythology, and music. This free, public program brings together the Spartanburg Philharmonic, Spartanburg County Public Libraries, and NASA Solar System Ambassador David Leaphart to examine how celestial bodies have inspired art and storytelling throughout history.
Join us for Music Sandwiched In on April 16th as we welcome a trio of the Upstate’s finest jazz musicians. Bassist Ian Bracchitta, drummer Justin Watt, and pianist John Moody bring years of performing experience to the stage — from symphony halls and Broadway pits to jazz clubs and touring big bands. Together, they’ll serve up a free lunchtime concert full of classic jazz tunes, creative energy, and plenty of soul. Grab your lunch and settle in for a swingin’ good time!
In 2023, the highly-esteemed bluegrass band Blue Highway celebrates 29 years of touring, with four of the original members still intact. Most recently, the band was nominated for IBMA's 2022, 2021 and 2020 Vocal Group of the Year and Song of the Year Awards.
